An Eclectic Industrial Farmhouse Whole Home Renovation in Bellvue, Colorado.
In this project, we undertook a comprehensive renovation and remodel of an entire home, including furniture selection and styling. The transformation encompassed various areas, but throughout the entire project, from the airlock entry to the basement living room, careful attention to detail and a blend of industrial farmhouse elements created a home that exuded style, functionality, and warmth.
Project Scope :
Starting with the airlock entry, we wanted this home to welcome you straightaway! We revamped the entryway by installing a built-in bench and cabinet, adorning the walls with beadboard, and laying a custom real brick floor in a herringbone pattern.
Upstairs Primary Bed + Bath
The primary bedroom and bathroom on the upper level received our stylization, featuring eclectic industrial farmhouse decor to complement a custom industrial farmhouse-style sliding barn door. In the primary bathroom, we reimagined the space to include a custom walk-in shower with a built-in bench and a separate freestanding soaking tub. To enhance the modern-industrial farmhouse ambiance, we installed the entire bathroom with a custom tile wainscot and utilized matte black fixtures. As a hidden luxury, we also added heated floors throughout the bathroom.
Upstairs Living Room
The living room underwent a remarkable change. Overhead beams and an oversized industrial fan in matte black became the main features of the space. To add a touch of elegance, we incorporated white shiplap on the ceiling and created an visual statement with an accent wall in shiplap painted in a dark iron ore color. Additionally, we removed a half wall and installed an industrial stair rail for a modern and cohesive look.
Upstairs Guest Bath
In the upstairs hallway bathroom, we opted for an super eye-catching design. Using oversized Bedrosians Makato tile in beautiful copper colored penny round mosaic and paired it with the neutral white Makato tile, which created a striking contrast. The bathroom is also elevated by a matte black in-wall faucet, an industrial farmhouse-style frameless glass shower door made possible with the Schulter Shower System.
Kitchen + Dining Nook
The kitchen is seamlessly connected to the living room with a featured soapstone counter-height bar illuminated by farmhouse pendant lights. The custom Milarc cabinets in Sherwin Williams Sage Green Light provided a striking backdrop for the hand-glazed Fire Clay Star and Cross backsplash. An oversized farmhouse sink and a hidden dishwasher + beverage fridge added functionality and charm. Right behind the bar, we stylized a dining nook with rustic farmhouse touches to bring out the character of this family’s gathering space.
Downstairs Library + Stairwell
Descending to the basement, we created a captivating two-level feature wall using stacked stone, which served as the backdrop for the custom-built handrail. In the landing area, we constructed a beautiful library with a custom-built bookcase featuring drawers for storage. To draw attention, we added a niche with floating shelves and built-in lighting. All the shelves were carefully styled in-house by Freestone Design-Build.
Downstairs, in the basement bathroom, we crafted a stunning herringbone accent wall using Bedrosians Cloé tile. We continued the herringbone pattern inside the floor-to-ceiling tiled custom walk-in shower. Matte black shower fixtures, a custom Milarc vanity, and industrial farmhouse sconces completed the modern yet rustic aesthetic.
The basement laundry room showcased custom cabinets highlighted by Bedrosians Clóe Tile. A matte black faucet and pulls were chosen to maintain consistency with the overall aesthetic of the house.
Downstairs Living Room
Finally, in the basement living room, we installed a full-wall custom built-in unit with a recessed TV, complemented by a beadboard lining the interior. The room was styled by Freestone Design Build, and the furniture was sourced from Four Hands, resulting in a cohesive and inviting space.
